Cells?

Cells are the building block of life. All living things are made of cells. Some living things are uni-cellular (like bacteria or ameoba) and others are multi-cellular (like humans, animals and plants).

I was going through the chapter of cells in my science book and thought that I will post something from this interesting and amazing part of us.

While a cell has many different sub-parts known as organelles, following are some of the major organelles:

1. Mitochondria - are like the chemical in the digestive system of the cell converting food into energy
2.Nucleus - is like the brain of the cell, controlling all activities of the cell.
3.Vacuole - is a storage water and nutrients
4.Cytoplasm - is the fluid on which all the other parts swim (or move around)
5.Cell wall / cell membrane - is like the skin allowing only food to enter and waste to exit
6. Chloroplast - contains chlorophyll for use with sublight for making food.

Can you find the difference between these Plant and Animal cells? Please mention your answers in the comments.
